Corita Art Center is seeking a Getty Marrow Public Engagement Intern to support our ongoing project to make arts education initiatives publicly accessible. Rooted in Corita Kent’s pedagogy, this internship offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with CAC staff and advisory council members (leading experts) to enhance public engagement efforts through the development and distribution of in-person and digital content. This is a foundational part of CAC’s mission to meet audiences where they are. The intern will support the dissemination of existing materials to a broader audience, focusing on outreach to partners, educators, and community groups, with an emphasis on promoting our Corita 101 curriculum. They will also help develop and implement CAC’s in-person school tours program. The Intern will also participate in weekly team meetings with all CAC staff.
Key responsibilities will include documenting group visits, capturing engagement data, and creating dynamic digital content such as photos, videos, and short archival features for public sharing. The intern will assist in coordinating programming offerings, ensuring that they are accessible and engaging for a diverse audience. By leveraging digital platforms, the intern will help amplify CAC’s message and reach, supporting the organization's mission to educate and inspire through Corita Kent's legacy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about arts education, skilled in digital media, and eager to contribute to the growth of educational materials with a particular focus on supporting public programming during the summer at our newly-opened downtown Los Angeles location.
